I was thinking, it would be kind of nice if I could post the blogs of sufferers of Allergic Rhinitis. I'm sure everyone would have plenty of stories or ramblings! (namely how Allergic Rhinitis screwed their lives? o.O)

Or perhaps, if anyone interested, they could share their stories about Allergic Rhinitis here?

What Is Allergic Rhinitis?

Allergic Rhinitis is an allergic inflammation of the nasal airways. It occurs when an allergen, such as pollen, dust or animal dander (particles of shed skin and hair) is inhaled by an individual with a sensitized immune system.

When your nasal passages becomes inflammed, it is known as rhinitis. If you body happens to be overly sensitive to particles/allergens such as dust, it causes the nasal passages to be inflammed. This is Allergic Rhinitis in very, very simplified terms.

My name is Kev and I have Allergic Rhinitis. I was first diagnosed in 2002, and I've managed to keep it under control since early 2007. (I can't believe it took *that* long) Hooray!

I've worked in the health-care industry in various aspects, having assisted doctors and dispensed medication to patients. Part of my knowledge I've acquired while working there, the rest comes from many other places.

I still depend on Flixonase nasal spray and a healthy dose of exercise to keep my Allegic Rhinitis under control. However, I do hope that there will be a day when I would finally be cured from Allergic Rhinitis.
